ANTHONY CEFOLO

FOUNDER OF ANARCHY WRESTLING ACADEMY

Anthony Cefolo is a lifelong wrestler and grappling enthusiast with an extraordinary career that began at the age of 6. Starting with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Anthony quickly excelled, securing a Florida State Championship and an American Cup Championship. At age 7, he expanded his skills to include Judo and wrestling, adding a Florida State Judo title and multiple wrestling state championships in folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman to his growing list of accolades.

After moving to New Jersey in 3rd grade, Anthony shifted his focus to wrestling and dominated the youth scene. He went undefeated for six years in the highly competitive Tri-County Wrestling League, winning six consecutive titles—a record that still stands today. His success continued with multiple youth state and national championships, cementing his reputation as a prodigy in the sport.

Anthony continued his wrestling journey at the collegiate level, beginning at Division 1 South Dakota State University. Though grateful for his time there, his heart remained in New Jersey, leading him to transfer to Rider University. At Rider, he became a four-year starter and NCAA qualifier, showcasing his talent and dedication at the highest level of collegiate wrestling.

After college, Anthony moved to Florida and co-founded FL Scorpions Wrestling with Jaime Rodriguez. However, New Jersey always called him home. In 2025—marking 10 years since his high school graduation—Anthony was inducted into the Morris County Hall of Fame, a milestone that reaffirmed his deep connection to the sport and its profound impact on his life. Inspired by the exceptional coaches who guided him throughout his career, Anthony decided it was time to give back to the wrestling community.

Now, Anthony is proud to open Anarchy Wrestling Academy in New Jersey, where he aims to share his passion, experience, and expertise with the next generation of wrestlers. His mission is to inspire and develop athletes, just as wrestling has shaped him into the competitor and leader he is today.
